The Bishop Gorman High football team only ran 31 offensive plays today, but still beat Bonanza 79-0 in a Southwest League game.
Bonanza elected not to punt most of the game, regardless of the distance needed for a first down, to give Gorman the ball with a short field to score.
Russell Booze had a pair of touchdown runs for Gorman, Daniel Stewart scored on a screen pass and Alize Jones caught a touchdown.
Nicco Fertitta blocked a field-goal attempt for Gorman, which was returned by Dylan Weldon about 60 yards for a touchdown.
Others to score for Gorman include: Jonathan Shumaker, Edward Bogdanowicz and Jaylen Carrol.
