Gorman shuts out another opponent in 56-0 victory against Bonanza

The Bishop Gorman High football team recorded its third shutout in its last four games Friday night, blanking visiting Bonanza 56-0.

Gorman, which improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Southwest Division, has surrendered just three points in league games.

Anu Solomon accounted for four first-half touchdowns for Gorman, rushing for a score and throwing touchdown passes to Jamir Tillman,Ryan Smith and Nate Starks. Starks also rushed for a two touchdowns.

Gorman played its reserves the entire second half, receiving a touchdown run from junior tailback Daniel Stewart.

Next week, Gorman plays at Centennial in a battle of undefeated Southwest teams. The winner will claim the league title and No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
